Most of my work is pentesting — companies pay me to hack their own websites and systems so I can find the holes before someone worse does. Same skillset as "real" hacking, just with permission and a report at the end instead of a crime. Some of it's white hat, some grey hat.
I'm still early in my career, never not working on something. And when it comes to people using the internet to prey on others — no patience for that. A lot of what I do is aimed straight at them.
